Planning made magical
Perhaps the most stressful part of any trip to Disneyland comes out of the frustration of being unable to plan ahead for more than an hour or so at a time. For non-locals and out-of-town visitors, navigating the parks can be a nightmare, already disadvantaged by their lack of knowledge regarding wait times, FastPass distribution, and more.
daytrip is a tool which can empower guests to make the most of their time at the resort. Through a short questionnaire and AI, parkgoers can create a simple itinerary complete with attractions, dining, entertainment, shopping, and more which can be disseminated to their entire group for reference throughout the day.
As part of the development of this concept and its interface, I created an original set of icons and created a design style and color palette inspired by the Disneyland app.
Ultimately, daytrip was an exercise in fulfilling exactly what I wanted out of a Disneyland-focused app and a proof of concept for how I could use my breadth of knowledge of the parks and develop a useful tool for Annual Passholders and first-timers alike.
