Enhancing learning with location-based narratives

Smart Primer is a tablet-based intelligent tutoring system for children that leverages compelling narratives, intelligent tutoring chatbots, real-world activities, and a child’s physical and educational context.
As a researcher at the Stanford Human-Computer Interaction Group, our team’s focus was designing a proof of concept for an educational tool utilizing location-based narratives and learning. In addition, I worked on updating the UI to better reflect the target age group (12 year olds), and further fleshed out the current prototype with a more sophisticated design aesthetic.
